South Wales Police is investigating after a serving officer was found to be running a website selling merchandise featuring rape jokes in the aftermath of a damning watchdog report on policing culture
A serving UK police officer could face disciplinary action over a website they run which sells products emblazoned with rape jokes.
The unnamed officer in the South Wales Police sells merchandise with slogans such as “feel safe at night – sleep with a cop,” and another with a cartoon woman in underwear next to a rape joke.
Other products include clothing with the phrase ‘Police Hub’ – a play on adult site PornHub – and mugs with the phrase: “I should be out catching rapists and murderers”, reports i News.
It comes as the conduct of serving police officers is under further scrutiny after the release of a major report this week which found some were watching porn while on duty.
