Graham Blockey who voiced Robert Snell in The Archers dies

Mr Blockey, a real-life doctor, played the role of handyman Robert Snell in the BBC Radio 4 soap

The Archers’ Graham Blockey has died, the show has confirmed.

In a tweet they wrote: “Today we remember our friend and colleague Graham Blockey following the sad news of his death.” 

Editor Jeremy Howe said: “Graham’s Robert Snell was a brilliant creation and a delicious one off. Graham was a complete joy to work with, and we will miss him very much.”

Mr Blockey, a real-life doctor, played the role of handyman Robert Snell in the BBC Radio 4 soap as the long-suffering husband of Lynda Snell.
