EastEnders’ Samantha shares health update after ‘random check’ cancer diagnosis

Former EastEnders star Samantha Womack has opened up about deciding to publicly announce her breast cancer after she was diagnosed earlier this year

Former EastEnders actress Samantha Womack has shared an update with her fans after she confirmed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The star who played Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Mitchell on the hit BBC soap announced in August that she had been diagnosed with the disease following the death of Olivia Newton-John.

Now, the 49-year-old has appeared on This Morning to speak with hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the sofa on Tuesday to talk about her cancer diagnosis.

She said she is ‘really good’ after being diagnosed four months ago, adding: “It was really incredible because I didn’t find a lump, I didn’t feel unwell.
