Britain is braced for another onslaught of heavy rain after days of floods and strong winds.
Blustery showers, thunder and gales are set to hit western areas this morning after yellow weather warnings across the country ended at midnight.
The weather will remain ‘unsettled’ today, but last night’s harsh conditions – when gusts hit 70mph in Cornwall, Devon and west Wales – will subside.
Travellers are urged to remain vigilant for disruption on the roads and transport network, which is currently at the mercy of protesters on the M25.
