Aaron Carter’s ex-fiancee Melanie Martin issued a statement following the rapper’s death at the age of 34, saying she ‘knew he was struggling’.
The I Want Candy singer, who was the younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, was found dead at his home in California on Saturday.
Police are investigating a cause of death.
Martin, who was engaged to Carter until their split in February 2022, released a statement, saying: ‘My heart is completely broken over the passing of my fiance Aaron. I knew he was struggling, and I tried everything to help him.
