West Ham stance on sacking David Moyes after boos vs Palace

West Ham allegedly have no intention of sacking David Moyes despite the club’s underwhelming start to the Premier League campaign. The Hammers have claimed European qualification in each of the last two seasons but have failed to hit those heights so far this year, sitting 15th in the table and just two points clear of the relegation zone.Moyes is currently in his second spell at the London Stadium after replacing Manuel Pellegrini in 2019 and has been credited with turning the club from relegation candidates into European contenders. In the 2020-21 campaign he led the team to a record points haul and Europa League qualification, where the Irons made it to the semi-finals before a seventh-place finish last season secured a place in the Europa Conference League this year.  However, performances this season have fallen short of expectations, with Sunday’s last-minute 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace maintaining the club’s position at the wrong end of the table. It appears fans are starting to turn on the man they once described as the ‘Moyesiah’ after his decision to sub Said Benrahama was booed this weekend. Yet the current discontent will not leave the club looking to make a managerial change according to The Athletic, who have reported Moyes will be given time to turn the situation around. His contract runs until 2024 and will not be torn up at the current moment given the success the club have previously experienced under his tutelage. READ MORE: Arsenal star Gabriel fires back at Aubameyang with savage tweet West Ham manager David Moyes is beginning to fall out of favour with the club’s fanbase.
