Inside the startup converting classic Porches & Land Rovers into electric cars

AN AUSTRALIAN company that specializes in converting classic petrol and diesel cars has joined with a UK-based conversion expert to create what is to be the world’s biggest electric conversion specialist.

Jaunt Motors is to be renamed Fellten after merging with England’s Zero EV and will have operations across three continents, including a new factory in the U.S.

The Merged Australian-UK firm will convert Porsches, Mini Coopers and Land Rovers into electric vehicles (EVs).

The company claims it will be the biggest electric conversion manufacturer worldwide and plans to provide kits for other classic models as well, according to The Driven.

The merger isn’t only about converting more classic cars with electric motors but also about helping car owners and mechanics make the switch too, co-founder of Jaunt Motors Dave Budge said.
