Hayes, a £100-an-hour sex worker, has pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of arson causing death. She pleaded not guilty to three murder charges. Crown prosecutor Ray Gibson QC told the court that Hayes had known someone was in the Point Cook home when she set it on fire. Mr Aakash met Hayes outside the property just after 2am that night and told her to "keep your voice down" as she was made aware a family was asleep inside the home they were about to have sex in, according to QC Gibson. The court heard Hayes was raging when Mr Aakash took back his money after being rebuffed for sex and stormed out of the house, leaving the young couple's home wide open. After a flurry of texts, Hayes said she would set the house on fire. CCTV footage played to the court showed Hayes carrying out the threat and showed her taking photos.
