England began their autumn campaign with a disappointing home loss to Argentina, their first to Los Pumas since 2006.

Where did it all go wrong for Eddie Jones’ side? Telegraph Sport picks out four areas that require attention ahead of the challenge of Japan on Saturday – with New Zealand and South Africa lurking on the horizon.

Eddie Jones bemoaned his side’s inability to convert their opportunities after the loss.

“We didn’t finish well,” he said. “How many times did we get into their 22 and the pass went to no one? At times we played through them really well – there was a development in our game today that was positive but it’s not good enough. And we know that.”
