The New England Patriots were decisive winners against the struggling Indianapolis Colts but the win came with questionable quarterback play as Mac Jones flattered to deceive once again
Questions over who should be the New England Patriots quarterback moving forward look like they will not go away any time soon after Mac Jones had struggled in their win over the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots were able to win comfortably against the lowly Colts, who hugely struggled to move the ball with back-up quarterback Sam Ehlinger again showing his limitations completing just over 50% of his passes and throwing for 103 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.
And whilst the Patriots continue to impress on the defensive side on the ball, it’s at the quarterback position in which could be holding them back with Jones himself only throwing for 147 yards, with some continuing to call for Bailey Zappe to be put back in as the starter.
Zappe stepped in as the starting quarterback for two full games and performed well, winning both and throwing for five touchdons to three interceptions. Jones then came back against the Chicago Bears, splitting time with Zappe who threw for a touchdown in the game.
