Andrew Hogg was dealt a heartbreaking diagnosis of motor neurone disease and frontotemporal dementia last month, and has now been given just years to live
The wife of a man who has recently been given just years to live after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease and a form of dementia “doesn’t know how she’ll deal” with telling her three young children that their dad is dying.
Andrew Hogg, 42, has become absent-minded and confused in his speech over the last year or so, with his personality altered due to the dibilitating conditions.
Last month, the ex-squaddie was given years to live having officially been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), with his first symptoms showing last December.
It’s led to Andrew becoming more withdrawn and less empathetic, and he also suffers with twitches in his upper body and problems with his speech.
