Rob Manuel has created his biggest online project yet – the viral Twitter account Fesshole, where Brits own up to their innermost darkest thoughts and their funny faux pas – albeit anonymously. He receives 200 confessions a day, but many don’t make the cut
“I’m a bus driver. If I’m having a bad day at work, I’ll look in the mirror while driving, and mutter to myself ‘you’re all ****s aren’t you?’ and then tap the brakes twice so they all nod.”
This is just one of the 150,000 anonymous confessions that have been submitted to Rob Manuel to then be shared online from the hit Twitter account, Fesshole. They can be anything from admitting white lies, awkward incidents, and the downright spiteful – all of which are either interesting or funny, which is Rob’s rule of thumb when deciding those that make the cut.
The 48-year-old from Wolverhampton sifts through around 200 a day, and is very selective over which his 650,000 followers get to lay their eyes on. He’ll discard those he believes are completely made up or creepy, which can sometimes put him in a difficult position of not wanting to be encouraging anything untoward.
One recent Fess reads: ‘I always used to hold my husbands penis and sing in to it like a microphone to make him laugh. He passed away a month ago and I can’t share this memory with anyone.’
