Unai Emery could not have dreamt of a better start to managerial life at Aston Villa than ending his new club’s 27-year wait for a win at home in the league to Manchester United.
That victory, in 1995, prompted Alan Hansen, then the television pundit, to come out with his infamous, “You can’t win anything with kids” line when referrring to United at the time but now it was one of Villa’s own kids – the Birmingham born and bred Jacob Ramsey – that was putting the icing on the cake of a well deserved win.
