Brentford striker, who earned an England call-up for their final pre-World Cup matches, faces Football Association investigation
Ivan Toney is under investigation by the Football Association over accusations he breached its ban on gambling.
The Brentford striker, who is vying for a spot in England’s World Cup squad, has been the subject of an ongoing FA investigation launched earlier this year.
According to the Mail Online, the investigation is thought to relate to a period before he joined the Premier League side two years ago which did not involve betting on his own team to lose.
Brentford said in a statement: “We note the story concerning Ivan Toney and the FA investigation. The club will not be commenting.”
