An incel interviewed in a documentary has admitted that he feels irrationally scared of the idea of speaking to women over the fear that he could be wrongly accused of rape or domestic abuse.
The term ‘incel’ is used by people who define themselves as being involuntarily celibate, with many so-called individuals involved in online communities that promote dangerous ideologies.
There have been mass shootings committed by gunmen who self-identified as incels, with supporters of the movement having been accused of perpetuating misogynistic views and rape culture.
