Cheers! Village pub saved after punters have a whip-round to re-open boozer

The Radnor Arms closed in 2016 after falling into a dilapidated state, leaving 400 residents of the tiny village fearing last orders had been called – but now it could be back open in time for Christmas

Drinkers are celebrating after having a whip-round to save their village pub.

When the Radnor Arms closed its doors in 2016, 400 thirsty residents were left without a boozer.

But they rallied round, set up a committee to buy the building for their community and last month snapped it up for £115,000.

Now they aim to raise another £50,000 to refurbish the building.
