Gabriel Jesus told he “needs to start scoring goals” after Mikel Arteta’s demand

The £45million summer signing started well at Arsenal, but has failed to score a goal in his last eight games and his finishing is becoming a cause for concern in the eyes of some

Gabriel Jesus has been told that he needs to find his shooting boots sooner rather than later, even if he is transforming Arsenal in other ways.

The Brazilian international enjoyed a sensational start to life at the Emirates, but has now not found the back of the net since the north London derby victory over Tottenham on October 1. That’s not to say that the quality of his performances have declined, but his goal drought has now become a talking point.

Jesus was named in the starting eleven for the visit of struggling Swiss outfit FC Zurich, but yet again failed to get his name on the scoresheet and was hauled off shortly after the hour mark.

His substituion marked eight games without a goal for the former Manchester City man, something that is undoubtedly a concern for both manager Mikel Arteta and Jesus himself with the World Cup on the horizon.
