Laura Whitmore joins new dating series months after quitting as Love Island host

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Months after quitting her post as Love Island host, Laura Whitmore has joined a brand new dating series that will explore the trials and tribulations of finding love in the digital age.

In August, it was announced that Laura was stepping down from the ITV programme after presenting it since 2020, explaining that she’d found ‘certain elements’ of the show ‘difficult’, including flying back and from the UK.

Soon afterwards, it was revealed that Maya Jama would be taking her place, who said in a statement: ‘I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows!’

While Laura has been busy since her departure announcement, making her debut on the West End, she’s now set to take on a new project, a dating show called Date Night set to premiere on Prime Video.
