Black Friday air fryer demand crashes Ninja website

Kitchen appliance giant Ninja’s website crashed yesterday as scores of shoppers scrambled to buy air fryers. The firm has slashed prices of some air fryers to £90 as part of its Black Friday sale. However, from between around 4.30pm and 7pm yesterday, immediately after emails announcing the launch began hitting inboxes, shoppers were faced with timeouts and an error message that said capacity problems meant the server could not load the website and asking them to try again later. Shoppers keen to bag a bargain took to social media to ask for help as, even when they got the products into their baskets the volume of traffic to the site meant the orders weren’t going through. There are four of the firm’s iconic kitchen gadgets that have been released in the limited edition copper hue for Black Friday, with the 3-in-1 Food Processor, Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer and Foodi Max Health Grill and Air Fryer all released alongside the SmartLid 14-in-1 Multi-Cooker.The 14-in-1 Cooker is a popular choice with home chefs because the versatile product is not just a high capacity air fryer but can be used as a steamer, pressure cooker, rice cooker, slow cooker, to roast meet or even make yoghurt.The Multi-Cooker in copper also has £30 off its usual price, taking it down to £249.99, although shoppers happy to have a plain black version on their worktop can get it for £229.99, Manchester Evening News reports.
