The Gunners are top of the Premier League table and have made it through to the knockout stage of the Europa League, but it hasn’t been completely plain sailing.Arsenal have won 10 of their 12 league matches and are two points clear of champions Manchester City. Victory against Chelsea and Wolves will confirm top spot for Mikel Arteta’s side at Christmas.The most recent win was perhaps the most emphatic of the campaign so far. A 5-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest sent the Emirates faithful home happy.But previous matches against Leeds and Southampton were less joyful for supporters. Writing in his programme notes for Thursday’s visit of FC Zurich, Odegaard has opened up on the squad mood in recent weeks.He admits the win over Forest has improved matters but says some honest chats have been held over the previous games. Odegaard wrote: “We started the game well again, with Gabi [Martinelli]’s goal, but what was different this time was how we killed the game off. We’ve been speaking about that as a group over the past few weeks.”We’ve had a few games where we’ve played well in the first half but the game has changed in the second half and we’ve been struggling more than we want to.
