Party leader Sir Ed Davey insisted Rishi Sunak has his ‘fingerprints all over’ the economic crisis engulfing Britain – and vowed there would be no let up in the Lib Dems’ assault on Conservative strongholds
Lib Dems still believe they can oust the Tories from a string of “Blue Wall” heartland seats – even though Boris Johnson has been toppled.
Party leader Sir Ed Davey insisted he can lead a revival of Lib Dem fortunes by smashing the Conservatives in their traditional strongholds.
It comes as he unveils a key pledge to slash the waiting time to see a GP for a routine appointment to seven days.
Sir Ed, 56, will make the promise as he addresses party activists in London on Sunday, having cancelled the Lib Dems’ annual conference in September after the Queen died.
