TOTTENHAM striker and England captain Harry Kane will be awarded freedom of the City of London.
The 29-year-old will be awarded with the honour at a special ceremony in January in recognition of his “outstanding sporting achievements”.
Kane is two goals shy of Wayne Rooney’s record Three Lions haul of 53 and will skipper his country at the World Cup in Qatar this month.
The Tottenham striker, born in Walthamstow, north London, said: “I am extremely proud and grateful to be awarded the Freedom of the City of London award.
“This is a proud moment for myself and my family.
