Another datamine of the latest Elden Ring patch reveals more proof of a new PvP mode coming to the game, via the unused colosseum areas.
Considering how much of a commercial success Elden Ring was upon its launch, DLC was never a matter of if but of when. Even beforehand, it was practically a given since FromSoftware’s previous games all saw DLC expansions.
Surprisingly, though, publisher Bandai Namco has been tight lipped about any sort of DLC, despite the promise of ‘expanding the brand’ after the game broke the 12 million units sold mark in just three weeks.
There have already been signs of DLC on the horizon and, most recently, an Elden Ring dataminer is thought to have found more evidence of its existence. Specifically, regarding a new PvP mode.
There was speculation of Elden Ring receiving such a mode as early as March. Back then, the community uncovered an unused colosseum area, which they presumed was being saved for a future multiplayer mode.
