Expressing heartbreak over the loss of the coconutty treat, the divisive broadcaster immediately went on a Twitter rant, slating Mars Wrigley for killing Christmas.
Piers wrote to the creators of the Celebration pick-n-mix tub: ‘WHAT?! This is a diabolical decision. Bounty bars are the best chocolate in the world.
‘Shame on you @MarsUK – you just killed Christmas.’
