"You can't put panelling in a council house, they said," she wrote over the video. She then showed how she'd used strips of MDF to create a panelling effect on the back wall. "You can't paint a small room dark blue, they said," she added. "Oh but you can!" The woman then showed the room as it looks now - with dark blue, panelled-effect walls. The bed was also transformed, and a velvet headboard added to give the room a luxe feel. "There's no rules! Council or owner, pick your own tastes," she captioned her video. People were quick to take to the comments section to weigh in on the transformation, with one writing: "You can do what you like in a council house.
