WhatsApp groups are about to get a lot less chaotic thanks to the new ‘Communities’ feature.
On Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg announced the roll out of Communities on WhatsApp, which enables people to bring together several group chats under one topic.
He added that the new feature ‘makes groups better’ by enabling sub-groups, multiple threads and announcement channels.
Much like Zoom or Slack, people can receive updates sent to the entire Community and organise smaller discussion groups.
