Tierney sees his Arsenal future in doubt as Arteta plan becomes clear

However, for the first time, question marks must be raised about his future at the club.Tierney has been adored by some sections of the Gunners fans. The Scot’s attitude can never be questioned and he was touted by many to be a future captain.Injuries have affected Tierney throughout his time in north London. But this season, fitness issues are not the reason he has been out of the starting XI.Oleksandr Zinchenko was signed in the summer to provide competition at left-back and also provide another option in midfield. Zinchenko has been absent for the last month, which many would have expected to hand Tierney a prolonged spell in the team.But Arteta has instead selected Takehiro Tomiyasu at left-back for the past four Premier League matches. Tierney has been fit the whole time and has come on as a substitute in each of those games.He has also been a regular in the Europa League, starting all five group stage matches to date. But Arteta has largely used the competition to give his squad players game time, which perhaps points to where he views Tierney in his pecking order right now.The Telegraph claims Tierney is set to attract interest from elsewhere and you couldn’t blame him for looking at his options.
