The DeSantis children are often seen alongside their father as he campaigns for office. According to DeSantis' website, Madison loves swimming, while Mason enjoys t-ball and golf. While the DeSantis family might live a comfortable life, it has not come without challenges. Casey opened up about those challenges in 2019 during an interview with Tallahassee Magazine, where she revealed the struggles the family faced when trying to child-proof the historic governor's mansion. 'We're just going to make sure that they don't destroy any of Florida's irreplaceable history, because there are so many wonderful, neat artifacts around,' Casey said at the time. 'You go into the dining room, you see stuff from the USS Florida. You see the late 19th-century wallpaper, and I don't think that orange crayon would look good on that.' The Republican governor added: 'We tried to baby-proof this place, but there are so many nooks and crannies, and they find all the nooks and crannies. "So we run around.
